My mission
My firm belief is that every member of our community can and should contribute to improving the situation in society. Each in their own way, putting their knowledge and experience in the service of the common good.
Skin cancer education
My contribution is directed towards educating the population about skin cancer, mainly through social media and all types of media, in order to raise awareness of the danger of this type of carcinoma, which is also the only one that can be seen with the naked eye, but is very often unrecognized and people seek an examination too late.
EUROMELANOMA
Since 2016, I have regularly participated in the pan-European campaign for free examinations — EUROMELANOMA — held in May. In 2022, one of the most successful: a record 70 patients independently examined over three days of the campaign, 7 basal cell carcinomas and 1 melanoma were discovered.
Nursing homes
For the past 3 years, I have been regularly visiting nursing homes, conducting screening for early detection of skin cancer. This is a vulnerable group of our fellow citizens with a high risk of skin cancer who do not have access to dermatological services. Covered by 'Vidi Vaka' — a platform for people invisible to institutions.
